Star Sand Beach, Iriomote, Okinawa

Isn't it beautiful?
One of my favorite beaches in the world.
All the sand, each one particle, has a star shape.
It is a remnant of a shelled sea insect.
The particles are from 0.5-4mm big.
They feel nice to touch.
Soft and dry.

The colours are brightly shining in the spring sun.

This tree with huge flat panel roots is called Saskishima Suoh.
Wonderful.

Kanpilee Waterfall, Iriomote, Okinawa

Kanpilee means the seat of the God.
This is the largest waterfall in Iriomote.

Mariudo Waterfall, Iriomote, Okinawa

Until sometimes ago, we could go down to the edge of this waterfall.
Probably out of danger, going nearer to it is prohibited and we can just view the site from this afar.

マリウドの滝は、以前は滝壺ギリギリまで降りられたか、もしくは滝壺上の千畳敷エリアに降りられたのに、今は立ち入り禁止になっていますた。

西表島浦内河の川上り。
これからマリウド滝へトレッキング。

Little serene village island Taketomi is 15mins by sea from Ishigaki Island.

And Ishigaki shako shellfish.

Naha to Kabira

Lion Dance in Okinawa looks very close to the one in Bali.
The masks here are simpler but the hairy bodies quite the same.
Rangda may be bit bigger.

Then to sunny Kabira Bay!

クロコダイルです。
無事に風呂蓋のついたiPad、きちんとケースに収まりました。

iPad2と二つ並べると、こんな感じ。
カメラの大きさが随分違うのがわかります。
もちろん右がiPad2ね。
iPad2の刻印はシェイクスピアのテンペストからのセリフです。
